Study and learning

For students and anyone learning something new.

Keep course readings and your own notes together. Highlight as you read, have an article read aloud, and ask questions answered only from the material you chose.

How it works

Step by step

  1. Save readings to Reading and import your existing notes from Notion, Obsidian or a folder of Markdown.

  2. Highlight as you read; a few highlights come back each day in Daily review.

  3. Listen to an article with your device’s own voice on the way somewhere.

  4. Write your own notes with checklists and tables, and link related notes with [[links]].

  5. Choose a set of notes and ask a question answered only from them.

What it uses

The Rill features behind it

  • Save a link to your Inbox or Later; Archive and Starred keep the rest in order.

  • Bring your notes in: Evernote (.enex, attachments kept), Obsidian, Notion, Bear, Logseq, Roam, a folder of Markdown, and Kindle highlights.

  • Highlight in six colours with a note. Every highlight is on one page with a Markdown export, and a few come back each day in Daily review.

  • Have an item read aloud: your device’s own voices are free and send nothing anywhere; studio voices are part of Rill.

  • A note editor with checklists, tables, callouts and pictures, and [[links]] between notes with a list of what links here.

  • Pick a set of notes and ask a question answered only from them, with the ones it used linked.

Features are on the web today. Plans are Rill Essentials and Rill; a line marked Rill plan is part of Rill, not Rill Essentials.
